Arizona
All OHV’s must have OHV decal to ride off-road in Arizona.
- As of Jan. 1, 2025, one registered owner of the OHV is required to take the free course “OHV Decal: Safe & Ethical Riding in Arizona” in order to purchase a decal.
- A resident OHV decal, which is available to Arizona residents and can be purchased through the Arizona Department of Transportation’s Motor Vehicle Division (MVD) offices statewide, at an authorized third-party MVD service provider or online at AZ MVD Now.
- A nonresident OHV decal, which can only be purchased online through an Arizona Game and Fish Department portal account. The decal is not sold at AZGFD offices. Register for an account

Utah
All OHV’s must have OHV decal or a license plate to ride off-road in Utah.
- Utah requires all OHV operators to complete the Utah Off-Highway Vehicle Education Course. (once in a lifetime)
- UT residents purchase a street-legal plate or OHV decal to ride off-road.
- Non-residents must purchase OHV decal to ride off-road in Utah.
- OHV decals are available from Utah Maverick Stores or Utah DMV.

Nevada
Nevada off-road OHV regulations requires either an OHV decal or street-legal license plate from any state.
- Nevada residents must purchase OHV decal to ride in the state off-road.
- Non-residents must have an OHV decal or street-legal license plate from their home state to ride off-road in Nevada.
Nevada on-road OHV riding is not permitted, even with a valid license plate from your home state.
- Non-residents, please be advised, your OHV is not street-legal.
- Nevada residents cannot make their OHV street legal.

City of Mesquite, Nevada
Mesquite is one of a few cities in Nevada that allows on-road use of an OHV on ALL streets when equipped properly.
Please ride responsibly in Mesquite to help retain this privilege.
- The State of Nevada and City of Mesquite has established guidelines to allow OHV operators access to areas open for OHV use. Use of an OHV for general transportation or travel for purpose other than access to recreational areas is prohibited.
- An Off-Highway Vehicle (OHV) is a motor vehicle that is designed primarily for off-highway and all-terrain use.
- All OHV operated in Nevada are required to be registered, unless exempt by NRS 490.082.3.
